Mystery Boxes and Checkout Extensibility Upgrade

As per Shopify, Checkout extensibility upgrade will be rolled out in following manner

Both of these pages can be upgraded separately.

Due to deprecation of Order Status Page the "Additional Scripts" section in checkout related settings is also getting deprecated, due to this the code snippet which we provide to hide child items of mystery boxes on order status page will also not work. We are currently in talks with shopify support to work out a feasible solution, where this upgrade won't affect our merchants.

Recommendations

• As both of these pages can be upgraded separately, we recommend doing so for the checkout page and wait for order status page until we publish a solution for the current script.
• If you need to upgrade both pages then you can try "Associate order" option for mystery box fulfillment. Here app will create a separate new order with mystery box child items with billing and shipping address from original order, customer won't be notified of the new order and original order will not be touched.
